Spring preview

Howdy!

It’s been a while since the last blog update here at viaCycle… but that’s not because we have nothing to talk about.  Life has been crazy recently, with a lot of progress on product development, business development, and ensuring that we’ll be able to operate and grow sustainability through 2011 and beyond.

The team has been working around the clock on stabilizing our current hardware and software package, while keeping an eye to the future.  Most importantly, we’re very close to getting our the viaCycle system out in the wild, where people can see it, touch it, and take it for a spin.

In the meantime, we’ve seen some amazing developments in the sustainable transportation world.  New cities are announcing bicycle sharing plans every day.  Even places that previously would have never  considered bikes as a viable extension of public transit are opening their eyes to the possibilities of public cycling.  It’s an exciting time to be a bike advocate or entrepreneur.  Silicon Valley 2.0, anyone?

For now, keep your eyes peeled for more updates from viaCycle in the coming weeks.  We can’t wait to share our progress with everyone and get this party started!
